Wamiqa Gabbi shares her experience working with Ishaan Khatter; says, “His dancing skills are something which I would like to imbibe and learn for myself”

On her most recent production, Fursat, a Vishal Bhardwaj film, actor Wamiqa Gabbi discovered that working with actor Ishaan Khatter was more like taking a learning lesson and absorbing some of his dancing techniques. On her social media accounts, the actress also posted a video of their practise session with Ishaan Khatter.

Ishaan Khatter's dance abilities are something I would like to emulate and master for myself, Gabbi admitted in a recent interview to Hindustan Times. Even days after working with him, I've been thinking about that.

"I'm honestly astonished at how quickly I was able to pick this up," she continued. But I'm appreciative of a fantastic team. who trained and gently instructed me. I felt such a sense of aesthetic fulfilment from learning something so unusual. And learning something completely new while playing a role is what makes it so wonderful. I was juggling multiple projects, and I had little free time. While mastering a dance style as technical and intricate as contemporary isn't simple, I believe I genuinely shocked myself. And I'm glad I was able to put this into practise and embody it.

Ishaan Khatter is a bundle of energy to be around, she stated when describing her relationship with him. Not just that, but working with him made me feel comfortable and at home. Given the little amount of time we had due to our mutual support, I believe we can develop real chemistry on film. He is constantly keen to learn new things and always has something to say. As the majority of the movie involves dance, his energy may spread to you, which helped me maintain my energy levels.

"Short films are the ideal choice for an artist nowadays, given the expanding digital industry and the audience's increased interest in watching movies online. It is always worthwhile to see and fascinating to do a narrative that is told in just 20 to 30 minutes if it still manages to touch you or excite you.

The next time we'll see Wamiqa is in Vishal Bharadwaj's Khufiya, which also stars Tabu and Ali Fazal. Her most recent appearance was in the Amazon Prime Video anthology series Modern Love: Mumbai, which is a translation of the popular American series of the same name. She appeared in Vishal Bharadwaj's film Mumbai Dragon.
